About the Magic Bite
The graphic at the left is a digital image of a collage I made from clips from 1969 issues of an iconic men's magazine.  Many themes of the late sixties are represented in the collage and many of my black and white photos are from that era, so I thought it was an appropriate theme for this web site.

Many of the black and white images were shot with Kodak 35mm films that included Tri-X, Plus-X and Royal-X Pan.  My favorite was Tri-X because of its graininess and contrast and how in rendered subjects.

Similarly, many of the color images were shot with Kodak Kodacolor negative/print films.  I preferred print films over slide films for the ease of making prints.

In 2003, the digital revolution was in full swing and I purchased my first digital camera, a Nikon D1x.  It fit in seamlessly with my Nikon system of lenses and accessories, and drastically changed the way I captured and presented images.  But I still have film cameras and my darkroom equipment, just in case...
